Q. Tell us about your store! What made you decide to open up your own retail space?
A. We opened our first store in 2004 when we couldn't find a suitably cool baby gift in the Twin Cities. Since then, we have expanded to five locations - North Loop, Edina, Wayzata, Highland Park, and our newest location Woodbury that just opened in October!
Q. What is your favorite thing about running your store?
A. Interacting with our amazing shoppers and communities! We get to be a part of so many big events and milestones - from selecting the perfect item, to letting others know they are expecting, to selecting outfits for family photos, or providing that perfect first birthday gift. We love hearing our customers’ stories and getting to play a small part in their journeys.
Q. What does a typical day look like for you?
A. No two days are the same! We love having days busy with shoppers. We receive new products most days and 'ooh and ahhh' over the latest treasures. Some days we build new visual displays, and others we learn and train on the latest car seat! Lately we have been getting back into hosting events which is a whole lot of fun.
Q. How do you select the brands you carry?
A. Oftentimes our team members and customers recommend great brands to check out! We also attend markets, visit other stores we admire, and stay on top of social media to find the latest and greatest.
Q. If we had one day in your hometown, where should we visit?
A. A walk around one of our 10,000 lakes - my personal favorite is Lake of the Isles.
